Policies & Procedures
Items and products: We have a 10 day refund policy. Please return any items with your reason within 10 days. An email prior is helpful as well. Buyer must pay return shipping on any refunds. Any items refunded must be returned in the same condition as originally shipped.
Services: We strive to provide only the best services for you here at The Wool Mill. We are human, however, and occasionally mistakes can be made. In that circumstance, we will correct them to the best of our ability.
Payment: A down payment is required at the time of raw wool delivery. Please include a check with your instructions if you are shipping, or plan to bring your checkbook if you're delivering your wool in person. Receipt of your down payment will insure your spot in the processing line. Half down for wash pick and card is expected if you are having roving or batts made. Full payment of wash pick and card is easier for you and the mill if you're having yarn made. You will then be charged for the yarn when it's completed.
Drop off to finished product is approximately 6 months. This could be less or slightly more depending on what you want done and the quantity. Wool delivered without a deposit does not guarantee placement in the production line. First come with partial payment is first served.
Rush Order Fee: Please do not rush your order. We are a small mill working hard to get you your product. The lack of pre-planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours. Please plan ahead and don't hound us for your product. We are busy completing it! Surcharges may ensue for repeated phone calls, texts or emails regarding finish time.
Completion: Pick up of completed products is expected within 10 days due to our limited space. Any wool products left at the mill beyond 30 days immediately becomes property of the mill and your deposit will be forfeited and is non-refundable. We will assume you've moved to a much warmer climate and are no longer in need of your wool to help keep you warm. We realize life happens and things get in the way of travel. Just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please include the following in your wool shipment:
Name, address, phone number and email address. It's helpful to know if texting is an option as well.
Breed of sheep and what you would like done with your wool. Wash only, wash and pick, wash, pick and card to roving or batts or all of the above made into yarn. If yarn is being made, please also include what yarn weight you desire. A sample is even better. We are happy to assess your fiber and make yarn weight recommendations after it arrives. Please also include your deposit.
